This is Sunday’s Trouvailles, my Sunday morning newsletter, which is the online version of a favourite Parisian weekend activity - browsing a brocante, local market or garage sale in search of trouvailles (lucky finds). Each week, I’ll share the best of my cultural findings from the week and the archives, aka my piles of saved links, screenshots from my camera roll and paper treasures stashed in boxes.
The time has been flying by recently, and apparently, it has already been a week since I was in Madrid typing the first Sunday newsletter from the hotel. Without further ado, here are my trouvailles of the week.
💌 Romantic trouvailles:
Burberry’s London in Love campaign - My Instagram algorithm has decided to feed me daily clips from Burberry’s campaign London in Love and I couldn’t be happier! They created a series of short clips inspired by rom-coms “celebrating love, life and the rain.” The cast is fantastic and includes Kate Winslet, Jodie Turner-Smith, Richard E. Grant, and Naomi Campbell among others in very sweet scenes around London. It is incredibly romanticised? Yes. Do I love it? Absolutely, yes! Am I buying a Burberry umbrella to destroy in the windy rain? 🤣
🇮🇹 Trouvailles…from home:
Weekend Max Mara and Ashley Park go to Portofino - I love seeing more brands exploring my home region, Liguria, and incentivising tourism in the area. Portofino might be small, but it’s definitely the most well-known luxury spot. For its summer 2025 collection, Weekend Max Mara and the face of the collection, Ashley Park (possibly the main reason why I watch Emily in Paris) have created stunning and really fun shots in the seaside town and released a guide for a weekend in Portofino with all the right food tips, starting with focaccia and gelato.
Italissimo Festival in Paris - If you are in Paris from 1 to 6 April and are interested in Italian literature, the 10th edition of the Italissimo Festival has a programme filled with great author guests, talks about literature, publishing and translation, and even some film screenings. You can check out the full programme here.
📖 Trouvailles…to read:
I have been trying to find the time to help friends with lots of different projects and life dilemmas and asking advice for my own, and it does feel like we all are “stitching” each other up a little bit. I came across this poem on Instagram by Sophie Evans (@sophie Alanna) and felt very close to all the amazing women in my life:
It’s time for the first Long-distance Creative Club meeting
I’m really excited to share your invitation to the first call of the More Than Just Views' Long-distance Creative Club: monthly calls with like-minded creatives living around the world and navigating life across places. For this first month, we are going niche and we are going French! 🇫🇷
As we both had several requests for this topic, I'm teaming up with
's Life Atelier to share my and Emma's experience setting up a micro-entrepreneurship in France (with little French!), what you need to know to get it set up and what are the different choices you can make. Join us on Thursday 20 March at 10:00 CET for one hour. Feel free to send questions ahead so we can help you find the answers and navigate French business life together. I will send out a link to join the event in the next newsletter and on the day of the call.Hope you have a wonderful Sunday and a great start to the week!
